Nickelodeon magazine editor, Chris Duffy and I pitched a GOTHAM GIRLS mini series called the BIG SLEEPOVER to DC, but it didn't get very far. Even so, I got this out of it; penciled by Pixar superstar Bill (REX STEELE) Presing, and inked by me, I think it's a pretty sweet little drawing.
Friends, I'm having a blast blogging, but I've got to get some work done. Many, many thanks to all my friends, old and new, who've posted here. Please, please continue! And, remember to check back; I'll post new art next Tuesday, and every Tuesday after that. I'm finding some work of mine I'd enjoy sharing with you, animation stuff, unused strips, random art, found items and even pieces I've collected by some of my cartooning cohorts.
Many thanks,
have a great weekend,
Sde

That is a sweet drawing! Too bad it didn't get picked up though....
I also wanted to mention I liked your work in Looney Tunes # 100.
Your style really captures the look of the golden age designs!
Did you choose the colors, or did the colorist? Because they really compliment your art.

Suh-weet! I would've never dreamed of a Presing/DeStefano team-up. But seeing this pinup, I want more! You guys are both phenomenal.

J.E., thanks for noticing the colors on LT #100. I did color the Bugs/Yosemite Sam strip, which was fun and challenging, because I generally don't work in color.
And, r, I'm not sure why DC didn't go for the concept, but I don't think it had anything to do with "the Batman" redesigns.
And, Mike, is that your opinion about this piece, or Aunt Josephine's...?

That is a sweet drawing! It looks as though they are in Chicago (my home town). The building on the right looks like the shape of the Sears Tower (without the antennae).

Looks like it could be a fun project.
