By the way...

I've discovered I love blogging.
I'm going to quit my day job, drop out of society,
and only blog. Ever, from now on.
Thanks,

And what would be wrong with that?!!

Also: what have Lil' Chooch & Lena
been up to, I wonder?

Chooch and Lena are in hibernation. But I did find kind of a cool color drawing I did of them quite a long time ago, and plan to post it soon. Thanks for asking, Marc! I dig your groovy drawings as well!

I love your work, I'm so glad you've started a blog. That King Crab storyboard is great, though a lot of that got cut from the final cartoon no?

Your blogging!
Hooray!
Your style is soo recognizable....
I absolutely love the stuff you did in Peter Bagges 'Sweatshop'.
I studied your panels and it's amazing to me the amount of detail you manage to cram into your scenes
I'm a big fan of your work!

Hey Stephen!

I loved 'mazing man.. unfortunately I discovered it 2 issues before it was cancelled... sorry I guess that apology is 20 years too late.

Are you able to post 'Mazing Man stuff?

sdestefano said...

Kevin, yeah, the cartoon was cut down a bit from what we'd originally boarded. Bill wanted to do an 11 minute, I think, and that's how we'd boarded it, but ultimately it was a 7 minute short.
And ess, no apologies necessary for missing out on 'Mazing Man. Honestly, the quality of my work on that series is sometimes questionable to me, and I feel as if I owe the apologies. I have one piece I definitely want to post here with 'Maze in it, but not sure about more. So much of it has been shown, and what hasn't been shown is so old I'm not that proud of it.
Still, if you are into unseen 'Mazing Man art, you may want to check out a recent issue of BACK ISSUE, from Twomorrows publishing. Nice fella named Brian Morris interviewed Bob Rozakis and I in honor of 'Maze's 20th anniversary. I also drew up a new piece to commemorate the occasion.
Thanks for the awesome questions, chillun...
best,
