HOW TO DRAW THE VENTURE BROTHERS

One of the first things I drew as Storyboard and Design Supervisor for Season 3 of the VB's. Here are the first four pages of a ten page tutorial.

Hey Stephen! your tutorial was incredibly helpful all season long. Thanks! Now, are we gonna get some honest-to-goodness expression sheets for season 4? maybe steal them from your revision boards? how about it?

Gasp! Choke! Thanks!

This stuff is a gold mine! I've said before that I love the Venture Bros so much, it has altered my default mode while drawing. It's not usually something I do consciously, it's something I notice after the fact! I guess part of this is the fact that I was looking at people like Alex Toth and Dan Clowes (and Bernie Krigstein) already.

So now I have a more solid sense of the construction and priorities of the show. And I didn't even have to wade through World Leaders/Noodle Soup dumpsters to get it!
